SideQuests Brand Refresh

I had the pleasure of working with the Portland based LGBT travel agency, SideQuests, to give their old logo a refresh.

Their previous designer had made it entirely out of Ai, and they liked the overall feeling of it, but wanted it to be refreshed and updated.

After meeting with one of the owners of SideQuests, we decided to go for a fun, bright and warm feeling for their overall brand identity. I took inspiration from the keywords; retro, modernly vintage and bold

First Ideas

A big part of my design process revolves around coming up with as many icons as I can. From there I sat down with Matthew and he was able to pin point specific parts of the various icons that he gravitated towards. After that I was able to narrow down my final vision for the logo.
